    Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

This vegan pumpkin smoothie with cinnamon tastes just like liquid pumpkin pie. Kind of like pumpkin pie for lazy people. It’s incredibly easy to make and sooo creamy and silky! The perfect drink for fall!

two glasses of pumpkin pie smoothie with a yellow and white straw on red and yellow fall leaves with two cinnamon sticks on the side

I absolutely love smoothies. And I LOVE pumpkin. So I can’t get enough of this pumpkin smoothie recipe. I can’t believe that something this delicious can be so easy!

I’m not the biggest fan of fall and winter, but at least we get to eat all these delicious cinnamony desserts, and hearty stews and soups. So even if it’s cold, rainy, or snowy outside, there’s something positive about it.

And I mean isn’t it just awesome to snuggle up on the couch with a smoothie that tastes like liquid pumpkin pie?

What You Need For This Pumpkin Smoothie:

The ingredient list for this vegan pumpkin smoothie recipe isn’t very long. You can find all of the ingredients in any regular grocery store.

    You need:

    • pumpkin puree
    • one banana
    • almond milk
    • dates
    • natural vanilla extract
    • ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves
    • ice cubes

As always, you can find the full ingredient list with measurements in a separate recipe box at the end of this post.

a glass of pumpkin smoothie with a yellow straw and cinnamon on top on red leaves with a pumpkin in the background

    This Pumpkin Smoothie is:

    • super creamy and silky
    • easy to make (5 minutes is all you need)
    • vegan
    • dairy-free
    • healthy
    • perfect for fall
    • super delicious
    • perfectly sweet
    • refreshing
    • pumpkin spice flavored
    • a perfect snack or also breakfast

How To Make This Pumpkin Smoothie:

The recipe for this pumpkin smoothie couldn’t be much easier! You only need to follow two simple steps. You’re only 10 ingredients and 5 minutes away from this delicious pumpkin pie smoothie. And 5 of these 10 ingredients are spices.

ingredients for a pumpkin smoothie in a blender (pumpkin puree, bananas, ice cubes, and dates)

First Step: Combine all ingredients in a high speed blender.

Second Step: Process until smooth and serve immediately.

pumpkin smoothie is being poured from a Vitamix container into a jar with red leaves and a pumpkin in the background

    Pumpkin Smoothie – Recipes Notes:

    • You can achieve the best results by using a high speed blender for this pumpkin smoothie. I used my Vitamix and it came out super creamy and silky.
    • I tried this recipe with homemade pumpkin puree as well as canned pumpkin puree. It didn’t surprise me that the one with homemade puree was much better! Usually, I just make a big batch in my Instant Pot and freeze it for later. Just let it sit on the counter overnight or for at least a few hours to defrost. You could also add it to the blender when it’s still frozen. However, this way your pumpkin smoothie will have a different texture and you also don’t have to add ice cubes. Check out these step-by-step instructions for making homemade pumpkin puree if you haven’t made it before.
    • I listed the spices for this pumpkin smoothie (ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves) separately. If you want you could, however, also just use store-bought pumpkin spice.
    • If you want this smoothie to be more refreshing, you can use a frozen banana instead of one at room temperature.

What a delicious smoothie recipe Sina! I’ve never tried a pumpkin pie flavoured smoothie before, that’s such a great idea. I love how healthy it is too, and that it’s sweetened with dates and bananas. Yummy!

The perfect pumpkin sip! And i even have all the ingredients in my kitchen right now! My smoothie addiction is intense right now too, I need to make them more interesting and fall flavored. Lately I’ve been doing one green smoothie and one more decadent smoothie a day, so I will have to toss this one in the mix :)

liquid pumpkin pie … that’s the best description I’ve ever heard of a smoothie!

fall in my neck of the woods is either cold and dreary or cold and brilliant. not much middle ground.
