    10 Easy Vegan Recipes with Canned Foods and Staples

    With everything that is going on right now, you might be looking for recipes you can make with canned foods and staples. Here are 10 easy vegan recipes for the whole family that still taste amazing even without fresh foods!

    If you don’t want to go to the supermarket on a daily basis and rely more on pantry foods, this is the perfect post for you!

    I included 10 simple vegan recipes that are ready in no time! To make things easier, I listed the main ingredients for each recipe for you.

    Some recipes call for fresh ingredients like bell peppers or fresh parsley. However, you can easily leave them out.   I included notes for each recipe.

    1. Vegetable Potato Fritters

    These potato fritters with red lentils are super easy to make and so delicious! They’re best with spicy sriracha mayonnaise. 

    What you need: Potatoes, red lentil, carrots, onion, and spices 

    2. Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

    Spaghetti aglio e olio is the perfect pasta dish for busy weeknight dinners! The preparation couldn’t be any easier, you only need very basic ingredients, it’s ready in just a little over 10 minutes, and it’s packed with flavor! 

    What you need: Spaghetti, garlic, olive oil, red pepper flakes. 

    You can leave out the fresh parsley if you don’t have it at home. 

    3. One Pan Mexican Quinoa

    This one pan Mexican quinoa with black beans and corn is super easy to make, packed with protein, and so comforting! 

    What you need: Quinoa, corn, black beans, canned tomatoes 

    Leave out the bell pepper, the fresh parsley, and the avocado if you don’t have it at home. The dish will still be amazing and packed with nutrients! 

    4. Sweet and Sour Chickpeas

    These sweet and sour chickpeas make such a delicious and easy weeknight dinner for the whole family! This easy dish is packed with flavor and nutrients and it’s ready in just 15 minutes! 

    What you need: Canned chickpeas, canned pineapple, tomato paste, and spices

    Leave out the red bell pepper if you don’t have it at home. 

    5. Vegan Cornbread

    You will love this vegan cornbread! It’s super easy to make, soft, moist, and buttery completely without dairy products or eggs! It’s great with chili or just on its own with vegan butter or maple syrup. 

    What you need: Corn meal, corn kernels, all-purpose flour, unsweetened almond milk, and baking ingredients like baking powder etc. 

    6. Vegan Spaghetti with Chickpeas and Olives

    These vegan spaghetti with chickpeas, artichokes, and olives make the perfect weeknight meal! The recipe couldn’t be much easier, it’s packed with flavor, and it requires minimal preparation. 

    What you need: Spaghetti, canned tomatoes, canned chickpeas, olives, capers, and spices. 

    7. Super Healthy Vegan Bread

    This vegan bread is definitely the healthiest bread ever! It’s gluten-free, yeast-free, and made with only oats, seeds, and nuts. And it’s so easy to make! No bread maker or food processor needed. 

    And you don’t need any fresh ingredients like yeast! 

    What you need: Rolled oats, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, psyllium husk, almonds, hazelnuts, kibbled flaxseeds, chia seeds, flaxseed oil

    8. Patatas Bravas

    These papas bravas with vegan aioli and salsa are the perfect comfort food! They’re ready in only 30 minutes and they’re soooo yummy!

    What you need: Potatoes, canned tomatoes, onion, garlic, and spices 

    9. Chocolate No Bake Cookies

    These chocolate peanut butter no bake cookies without milk are perfect when you feel like having a little treat and don’t have enough time for real baking! 10 minutes is all you need!

    What you need: Rolled oats, dark chocolate, unsweetened peanut butter, and almond milk 

    10. Energy Bites with Cherries and Coconut

    These energy bites with coconut and cherries make such a great snack! They’re super easy to make and perfect when you’re craving something sweet but want to eat healthy!

    What you need: Almonds, cashews, chia seeds, dried cherries, dates, rolled oats, and coconut flakes
