Who could say no to chocolate peanut butter cookies that take only 5 minutes to make?! Definitely not me!! So I made these no bake cookies without milk the other day and we literally inhaled them…

peanut butter, chopped chocolate, almond milk, and rolled oats each in little bowls on a marble counter top

These No Bake Oatmeal Cookies are:

    • vegan
    • gluten-free (make sure to use gluten-free oats)
    • incredibly easy to make (you need only 4 ingredients!)
    • an amazing snack
    • perfect for chocolate and peanut butter lovers
    • way better and healthier than store-bought cookies
    • oil-free
    • free of additional sugar

So, they’re just perfect when you feel like having a little chocolatey treat (totally me!) and don’t have enough time to turn on the oven. Or if it’s a hot day and you don’t want to turn on your oven.

So just give the oven a break and make these chocolate no bake cookies without milk and lots of peanut butter…

What You Need For These No Bake Oatmeal Cookies with Peanut Butter:

As I’ve already said, the recipe for these vegan oatmeal cookies couldn’t be much easier!

    You need only 4 ingredients:

    • rolled oats
    • dark chocolate (make sure it’s labeled as vegan if you follow a plant-based diet)
    • unsweetened peanut butter (smooth not chunky)
    • unsweetened almond milk (optional)

    Substitutions:

    • Of course you could also use any other plant-based milk like soy or rice milk for these vegan no bake cookies.
    • You could even entirely leave out the milk and just use oats, chocolate, and peanut butter. The cookies will just turn out a bit harder this way.
    • I also tried making these no bake oatmeal cookies with almond butter instead of peanut butter. I still liked them, but I’d definitely prefer the cookies with peanut butter.

That’s it! After a couple of hours, you can enjoy these delicious chocolate peanut butter no bake cookies without milk. The perfect sweet treat for hot summer days!

    Recipe Notes:

    • Make sure to use rolled oats for these no bake oatmeal cookies. The recipe won’t work with quick oats.
    • I like to use smooth unsweetened peanut butter for these oatmeal cookies. The chocolate is sweet enough by itself and the cookies will be a lot healthier.
    • If you want these cookies to be gluten-free, make sure to use oats that are labeled “gluten-free”. The oats might be cross-contaminated with wheat, barley, or rye otherwise.
    • I usually use vegan dark chocolate that is sweetened with brown sugar. I would not recommend using completely unsweetened chocolate as you don’t have any other kinds of sweeteners in this recipe.

No Bake Cookies without Milk – FAQ:

How do you store no bake oatmeal cookies? And how long do they last?

It’s best to store these no bake oatmeal cookies in an air-tight container in the fridge. They will be good for about 2-3 weeks when stored in the fridge.

Can you make them without peanut butter?

If you’re allergic to peanuts, you could also use other kinds of nut butters for these oatmeal cookies. I tried them with almond butter and still liked them. Although I think the peanut butter ones are way better. Chocolate and peanut butter is just a great combination!

Can you freeze no bake oatmeal cookies?

Yes, you can easily freeze these cookies. Just let them harden first on a baking sheet in the fridge. Then transfer them to ziploc bags and put them in the freezer. They will last for several months.

Could I use quick oats instead?

No, this recipe does not work with quick oats. You need rolled oats for the texture.
