To celebrate the long-awaited beginning of the warmer season, we made this no-churn vegan oreo ice cream with peanut butter and peanuts. It’s so decadent, extremely yummy, and super easy to make!
Spring is finally here! Yeeeeahhh. This weekend was so sunny and I was wearing a t-shirt outside for the first time this year. Oh boy, how I missed this! So this of course also means it’s finally time for ICE CREAM!!
What You Need For This Vegan Oreo Ice Cream:
You don’t need an ice cream maker to try this vegan oreo ice cream and it’s ready in less than 5 minutes! All you need is:
- frozen bananas
- oreo cookies
- peanut butter (chunky if possible)
- peanuts
- and a good blender
When I first had ice cream made with frozen bananas, I just couldn’t believe how creamy and sweet it was. I usually add frozen berries, like strawberries and raspberries, to make a fruity version, but this chocolate peanut ice cream seriously blew my mind.
Raw banana ice cream or nice cream as many call it perfectly shows that you don’t need sugar or other processed ingredients to satisfy your sweet cravings. Just keep some peeled bananas in your freezer, so you’re ready to make vegan banana ice cream whenever you want. If you haven’t tried nice cream yet, you should really treat yourself with this guilt-free frozen dessert!
Once in a while, I even have nice cream for breakfast (usually it’s just bananas and berries topped with a little granola) and I know that a lot of people on Instagram have this almost every day. I mean ice cream for breakfast, how much better can life actually get, right?! Haha! No, but seriously, I was dreaming of having ice cream for breakfast when I was a kid. Too bad I didn’t know about nice cream back then.
Although this vegan oreo ice cream is clearly not as healthy as the nice cream I usually have, it’s just as good if not even a tiny bit better! I’m so glad that oreos are vegan (or actually accidentally vegan I guess). They were my favorite cookies growing up and I guess I could have lived off oreo cookies for a while if my mom had let me. Well, I’m glad she didn’t and although I don’t eat them very often anymore, I still love them especially in cookie dough ice cream.
I hope you like this vegan oreo ice cream as much as I do. Let me know if you give it a try. As always, I love hearing from you guys!

Super Easy Vegan Oreo Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 4 ripe bananas, cut into slices and frozen for at least 12 hours
- 8 oreo cookies
- 1 tablespoon chunky peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon peanuts
Instructions
- Put the frozen bananas, the chunky peanut butter, and three of the oreo cookies in a blender and process until smooth. If needed add a little almond or other plant-based milk to make it easier for the blender.
- When the nice cream is smooth add three more oreo cookies and pulse for a about three seconds.
- Fill the nice cream into two cups and top if off with the remaining two oreos (crumbled), the peanuts, and some banana slices. Enjoy!

Are the oreos vegan?
Kavya
Hi,
I just read that Oreos are not Vegan….Can you help????
I’m a new Vegan and would love to know about Oreos as I loooooove them <3 <3
Sina
Hi Kavya,
Same here. ;-) I don’t have them very often but I do love them! Well, I think that’s kinda a hard question. They’re on Peta’s list of accidentally vegan foods, but according to Oreo’s official statement they’re not vegan as they might have cross contact with milk because they’re produced with the same manufacturing equipment as their other cookies containing milk. But as that’s unfortunately the case with soooo many products, a lot of people agree that they’re vegan. So I guess everybody needs to decide for themselves if Oreos (and also other products with possible cross contact) are okay or not. Hope that helps. :-)
Kavya
Thank you :) :) :)

I think the first time I had banana ice cream I jumped up and down for joy because I liked it so much. Haha. ? I want to dive right into this. It looks fabulous!
Sina
Haha! Same here, Amanda!! It’s just sooo incredibly delicious and creamy! :-)
Lisa
Any suggestions for a good blender. Mine doesn’t handle frozen bananas very well:(. I want to make nice cream!
Sina
Hi Lisa, Sorry for the late reply! I got an Omniblend V and I simply love it! I use it every day for my green smoothies, energy balls, and nice cream. It’s cheaper than a Vitamix and it works really well. But if you wanna spend some more money, I could also recommend the new Vitamix. I was able to taste it for 6 weeks and it does an awesome job as well! You just need a minute or two to make ice cream out of frozen fruit with both of them. I had a pretty cheap blender before (I think it was like 40 dollars) and it didn’t work at all. It just wouldn’t turn the frozen bananas into ice cream. :-( Hope this helps! Let me know if you give it a try. :-)
