    Gingerbread Avocado Chocolate Mousse

Wow, I can’t believe it’s already December! Only three more weeks until Christmas! Isn’t it crazy how time flies? I just started trying some festive vegan desserts for the holidays and I absolutely loved this gingerbread avocado chocolate mousse, so I had to share it with you guys!

It’s super easy to make (you need less than 5 minutes, how awesome is that?!), incredibly creamy, sugar-free, and packed with nutrients! Oh, and it’s also gluten free and of course vegan!

    Gingerbread Avocado Chocolate Mousse

Until a few years ago, I never imagined that chocolate pudding could be this healthy or rather that it could be healthy at all! The secret ingredient are avocados. Not only are they super yummy, but they’re also rich in healthy fats, vitamin k, and folate. Besides, avocados do not contain any cholesterol and are very low in saturated fats. It’s not surprising that they’re often referred to as a superfood, is it? I also love eating them on bread, in salads, or just by themselves with a little pinch of kala namak.

They’re just soooo incredibly yummy and versatile!!!

Ever since I first tried avocado chocolate pudding, I absolutely loved it! I was so surprised that you can’t even taste the avocados the slightest bit. I really does taste like regular chocolate pudding only it’s so much healthier! We usually eat it with some fresh berries and coconut cream, but this time I added gingerbread spice to make it a bit more festive and special. I thought it couldn’t get better, but it really can!!

You only need five ingredients: Two ripe avocados, one large banana, cacao powder, almond milk, and gingerbread spice. For those of you who have never heard of gingerbread spice, it usually is a mixture of cinnamon, anise, coriander, cardamom, ginger, cloves, and pepper. You can either order it online on amazon
or make it yourself. Or maybe you’re lucky and find it in a grocery store.

To top it off, I added a couple of raspberries, some coconut cream and sprinkled it with chocolate and cinnamon. If you want you can also sweeten it with agave instead of dates, but I just love to use dates that are kinda like nature’s candy!

I hope you like this healthy version of vegan chocolate mousse as much as I do! If you give it a try let me know. :-)

Hope you all have a great week!

The trick is to get avocados that are perfectly ripe, not too green and not too ripe. Also delish with peppermint extract instead of gingerbread spice!!

There are so many fruits in here disguised as a creamy chocolate dessert it makes me incredibly happy…and hungry! I didn’t had much luck with avocado chocolate pudding the one time I tried it, but I think the banana and dates are what I was missing. Those two are superstar ingredients I think :) And adding the gingerbread flavor is brilliant, I love that in every form right now. Great quick and yummy recipe Sina <3

Thanks, Natalie! I already had it a couple of times, but this was the first time I added banana and it made such a difference. It makes it a lot creamier! And I totally agree with you, these two really are superstar ingredients!! I seriously couldn’t live without them! :-)
