This vegan apple crumble with juicy and sweet apples and a crispy oat topping makes the perfect dessert in the colder months! The recipe is super easy and it's perfect for the holidays.
Preheat the oven to 350 °F. Slice the apples. Lightly grease a casserole dish with vegan butter and place the apple slices in the prepared dish. Sweeten with maple syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Place all ingredients for the crumbles in a food processor.
Pulse a few times until crumbles form.
Pour the crumble mixture over the apples.
Bake the apple crumble for 20-25 minutes until the crumbles are nicely browned. Serve warm with a scoop of vegan vanilla ice cream.
Notes
This recipe is very flexible. You can also replace half of the apples with pears for a change. Or you could add frozen berries.
It is also great seasoned with pumpkin pie spice or apple pie spice.
For a gluten-free version, you can use a gluten-free flour blend and certified gluten-free oats.
